Aftercare advice

Aftercare advice

We pride ourselves in our expert, well rounded service and want to ensure that you receive the best aftercare possible.

Six to twelve weeks after your piercing, you can book a free, 15 minute check up with our friendly piercer to guarantee that it’s healing as it should.

Follow these tips on how to take care of your new piercing:

  • Always wash your hands before touching the piercing.
  • Clean your piercing at least 2-3 times a day until fully healed with the Inverness Ear Care Solution and clean cotton buds.
  • For the first 6 months with your new piercing, never leave the earring(s) out for longer than 24 hours to avoid the risk of the piercing hole closing up.
  • Do not remove or change your piercing until healed – this is around 6 weeks for earlobes and 12 weeks for cartilage piercings.
